Flip the Thought

Turn negative reactions into better questions. Sometimes your brain just... runs with it. You read a message and suddenly your stomach flips. “Did I say something wrong?”

Sometimes your brain just... runs with it. You read a message and suddenly your stomach flips.

“Did I say something wrong?”
“Why did they stop replying?”
“Did they leave me on read on purpose?”

Yeah. That happens. And yeah—it sucks when it does. But here’s the thing: not every silence means something bad. Not every pause is about you. People get busy. People drift. People forget to answer because their dog threw up or they just don’t know what to say.

So, what do you do instead of spinning out?
You flip the thought. You give your brain another story to try on.

“They’re ignoring me.” → Maybe they saw it and forgot. It happens.
“They must be mad.” → If something's up, I can ask. But I'm not playing guessing games.

But let’s be real: sometimes they are being distant.
And what? That hurts. Of course it does. But it doesn't mean you're annoying, or boring, or wrong.

People pull away for all kinds of reasons. Some are about them. Some are just... nothing. But either way, you still get to take care of yourself.

And if they don’t want to talk anymore?
That hurts more. Really does. But:

  • You don’t have to shrink.

  • You don’t have to keep proving you’re worth it.

  • You definitely don’t have to turn it into a project to fix.

Feel it. Yep. Then let life keep going. There are still other things that matter today. And tomorrow.

And then there’s the school hallway. Or the bus. Or lunch.
When you have to see them. That’s where it gets weird, right?

So here’s the move:
Walk in steadily. Make eye contact if you want to. Nod. Say hey. Or don’t. But don’t let them steal your whole vibe.

Let your face say: “I’m still me. Even if you got weird.”

Final Thought: Keep Walking.
People come and go. Some stay for a while. Some don’t. That doesn’t make you less. That doesn’t make them more.

You keep your kindness. You stay honest. You hold your space.

You don’t have to force people to like you. You don’t need everyone.
The right ones will stay. The new ones will show up.

Keep going. You’re not behind. You’re not alone. You’re just on your way.
